Northwood Door began in the fall of 1977 as a sole proprietorship working out of Joe’s house, limited to sales, installation and the repair of residential doors. In the fall of 1981, Marty Marinelli joined as a partner and grew the business in the commercial-industrial market. We expanded into commercial steel entry doors in the mid 80’s, and relocated to a larger facility in Walbridge. Marty sadly passed away in the spring of 2013. Business continued to grow its priority in commercial storefront entrances and interior wood doors and frames. Today, it includes ADA entrance operators and fully automatic entrances, as well as restroom partitions and accessories. Currently, we have 17 employees including part-time and office staff. Joe intends to pass the baton to Mike Conner and Matt Timmermans as he goes into retirement. The business model has evolved, but our commitment remains strong.
